Silversound, The

The Brightness

Career Records are pleased to announce the US release of the second album from Melbourne's The Silversound, The Brightness Will Come. The follow-up to the 2023 debut finds the band refining their freewheeling sound which is led by the duel guitars of Andrew Tanner and Shane O'Mara. Career Records released the most recent album by Sandpebbles, Tanner's principal band. When asked what he saw as the difference between The Silversound and Sand Pebbles, this was the reply: "I got to know Shane O'Mara after he produced a bunch of albums for my band The Woodland Hunters. Long conversations in the studio revealed a common love of the music we grew up on, and the production sounds we dug - T Rex, the first Joe Cocker album, Neu, Can, Velvets. And on and on to Yo La Tengo, Ry Cooder, Bert Jansch" An unmapped excursion into deep space over seven lengthy guitar-dominated songs.
