Scatterbox

In 2009, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho thrash punk band Scatterbox went to the Tank Studios in Seattle, Washington to record what would be their 4th full length record (and second record on seattle-based record label, Clickpop Records). Working with producer Tom Pfaeffle (Jewel, Queensryche, Blood Brothers), the audio tracks were recorded, however due to time constraints, the vocals were not able to be completed at the time. Shortly after the music being recorded, Tom Pfaeffle was tragically murdered in Seattle. The vocals were later recorded in Bellingham, Washington at Bayside Studios, and the album then went to mixing and mastering. It was released shortly afterwards, with the final result not being what the band envisioned. Shortly before the album came out in 2010, their label was absorbed by Rykodisc, and the album faded into obscurity. With virtually zero promotion and tour support, the album was shelved, and the band moved on to work on new material for what would be their 2014 album, "Ritual". Fast-forward to 2025. The band was able to finally retrieve the original master tapes, and receive a full remixing and remastering treatment for 2026 by Northwest producer Kaleb Wrenchey (Rings of Saturn, Wasted Breath, Infrablaster). With the band having full input on the new mixes, ENEMIES is presented for the first time in over 15 years the way the band originally intended. Complete with reconstructed artwork and layout, the album is also released for the first time ever on vinyl, with a limited pressing of 250 copies on translucent red vinyl.
