Prowlers

The Prowlers have been around since 1999. Their sound is directly inspired by Montreal bands that came before them, like Gassenhaur, Shock Troops and Discords to name a few. Musically, they will appeal to fans of The Oppressed or Angelic Upstarts, though with a bit of a harder edge. The sound is a distinct Oi!-punk with football-chant-style choruses and a raw, aggro undertone. The lyrical themes revolve around drinking, street fights and riots, but also touch lightly on aging and the persistence of making bad decisions. This album "Collection" is just that, a collection of b-sides, lost tracks and rarities from over the years. Currently the line-up consists of Sylvain (vocals), Marty (bass), Erik (guitar) and Yan (drums), all veterans of the Montreal punk and Oi! scene.
