Released on their own Drifting Boat Records in an edition of 100, Planet! is the new LP from underground Los Angeles electronic duo, Environmental Studies. Amidst a cultural void and vortex in the United States, the record is a hidden gold platter of dubwise minimalism, dusted downtempo, and lysergic exotica ala early De Fabriek or Vox Populi! but high on the disorienting vapors of their homecity, informed by Persian music and the Iranian diaspora.
