Global music icons Duran Duran have officially announced physical editions of their Free To Love: Hot Star Remixes album. Reimagining their euphoric cyber-funk anthem, featuring legendary collaborator Nile Rodgers, through the lens of a select group of contemporary dance music heavyweights, this marks the first remix album the band have ever made available on vinyl and CD. Designed by Rory McCartney, the package comes in three formats: CD, single vinyl and a special edition vinyl, each printed in a different metallic ink and paired with an original cover photograph by Duran Duran co-founder and keyboardist Nick Rhodes. In the CD and single vinyl formats there is also an eight-page booklet featuring more of Rhodes' exclusive images, and in the special limited edition version, there are two double-height, fold out booklets that are attached to the gatefold. The physical release is set for release on October 16th, you can pre-order here. The news follows Duran Duran's second headline slot at BST Hyde Park earlier this summer and comes ahead of their special Halloween show at The O2, London on 31 October, as part of their 2026 UK and European arena tour. It will be the band's first full run in the UK for three years - which begins in Glasgow before landing in Belfast, Birmingham, Liverpool, and Leeds. Additional dates will see the band perform in Germany, France, Portugal, Norway, Belgium, Sweden, and Spain. Across the three formats, the standard CD brings together every remix released to date, the original single, and two brand-new reworkings from the band: 'Love Overture' and 'Across the Galaxy'. For vinyl collectors, the 12" LP packages all 10 original high-energy remixes, alongside the band's own exclusive versions of 'Love Overture' and 'Across the Galaxy'. Rounding out the collection is a strictly limited Special-Edition 12" + 7" Vinyl Deluxe Package, available only through the band's official webstore. This is the ultimate collector's set: the 10-track remix LP paired with a bonus 7", featuring the original single and a third exclusive reworking, 'Spaghetti Exit'. Hidden at random among the vinyl products - one in the 12" and one in the special edition - are an exclusive Gold and Silver ticket. Trixie Matel, Harrison, BastienkHz, Horse Meat Disco, ALISSIA, Biff Chitlins and DJ White Shadow have all remixed the track with their signature sound. Live, the band remain unstoppable, selling out arenas across the UK and North America during their Future Past Tour, as well as their Halloween shows in Madison Square Garden and Manchester CoOp Live, and being awarded the "Città di Sanremo" at Italy's Sanremo Festival last year for their extraordinary contributions to the event, 40 years since their debut.
