| Originally released in 2017 Sketches of Brunswick East, a collaboration with LA tripster troupe Mild High Club, is a chance to get to know King Gizzard's sunny, playful side. Where previous albums slipped down sonic worm-holes to explore distant galaxies, this is an examination of (and homage to) the Melbourne suburb in which King Gizzard write & record. Pressed on on yellow and black "migraine edition" vinyl King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard is an Australian psychedelic rock band that formed in 2010 in Melbourne, Victoria. The band is noted for it's energetic live performances and prolific recording output. King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard's early work was primarily a blend of surf music, garage rock and psychedelic rock, while more recent releases show a broader range of influences, including elements of film music, progressive rock, folk, jazz, soul and heavy metal. |
