Remastered with full color artwork jacket to match the original CD version in honor of the 25th anniversary of the Detroit band's formation on 10-31-1999. LP has been out of print for 20 years, CD about the same. Members also played in Suicide Machines, Boys Night Out, The Receiving End of Sirens, and more. Detroit's FORDIRELIFESAKE was conceived on Halloween night, 1999, as a side project of MYCOMPLEX, BOTTOMED OUT, and RESOUND. Playing a highly progressive combination of melodic hardcore, punk, and technical metal, FORDIRELIFESAKE surged in poplarity locally in and around Michigan and quickly took over as the main project for members Brian Southall (guitar/vocals), Justin Malek (drums/vocals), Matthew Wedge (vocals), Eric Kempa (guitar/vocals) and Dave Wisbiski (bass/vocals). Their self-released debut EP came out in the summer of 2000 and they soon began working with Forge Again Records for a split EP with Detroit's WAFFLEHOUSE* and a re-issue of their debut EP in 2001 and 2002. 2002 saw the release of their debut album, Breathing In Is Only Half The Function on Cloud Over Head Records, with a European pressing from Skipworth Records. FORDIRELIFESAKE toured extensively in support of the album with BOYS NIGHT OUT and in 2003 the album was remixed, partially re-recorded, and remastered for release via Forge Again Records with a Japanese pressing by Alliance Trax. The band later went on to release a split CD with DELUGE, a second full length, and a discography CD with Thorp Records before calling it quits in 2009. Their debut album Breathing In Is Only Half The Function has now been remastered by Carl Saff for a new vinyl pressing, back in print for the first time in 20 years, and pressed on high quality colored vinyl from Smashed Plastic with re-worked full artwork from original CD/LP artist Phillip Dwyer (Apt13).
