Brazil's finest and
wildest unconventional garagepunkers AUTORAMAS present to you their
fabulous album number nine: "Autointitulado"! It is no surprise that it
is called "self-titled" as it seems to be very immediate and
autobiographic. Its fantastic coverartwork by Gustavo Cruzeiro shows
the four musicians as comic-superheroes fighting our times of crisis,
namely covid and recent chaos and crisis, which is also processed in
their music and lyrics.
The album starts off with the strong and powerful "Nóias Normais" that
gets you in that typical angry and unmistakable AUTORAMAS-mood right
away. One hit follows the next, if it is "Sem Tempo", "Fauna Abisal",
"Dia Da Marmota" or even the slightly calmer ballad "Eu Tive uma
Visao"; this album just grabs you. Catchy melodies and vocals by both
Gabriel Thomaz and Erika Martins run all the way through the album
while you get the right amount of wild and Autoramas-distorted guitars,
crazy organ and comic-style elements in songs like "Boneco" and
"Erupto".
The album was released on CD and vinyl on the Brazilian label MAXILAR
MUSIC for the Brazilian market only, while the SOUNDFLAT RECORDS
release of the LP (on yellow vinyl) finishes off with the exclusive
bonus track "I Wanna Be Your Man" - a very fierce and wild version of
the BEATLES classic and a perfect ending to an explosive record to be
played over and over again.

Garage rock is alive
and well in 2019. It lives in the alleys of East Vancouver, born and
bred in the traditions of the Pacific Northwest and raised on Pebbles
and Nuggets. Armed with a Fender Telecaster, an Acetone organ, and a
soulful frontman whose harmonica work might send Little Walter to AA,
it finds many new converts and takes no prisoners. It is THE BAD BEATS.
Following on the success of 2016's "His Vengeful Hand", incendiary
local shows and a handful of recent tour dates on the other side of the
Atlantic, THE BAD BEATS serve up a dozen high-octane blasts on their
second SOUNDFLAT-release, mixed in mono for your lo-fi pleasure.
Eight blistering originals complement the four covers on "Off The
Hook", including THE ROLLING STONES' title track and a haunting version
of the TOWNES VAN ZANDT ballad "Waiting Around To Die". The lone
instrumental, "Gooseback Machine" is a straight-up driving blues jam
featuring a guest appearance by Canadian ex-pat Spencer Evoy (MFC
CHICKEN) on sax.
The album fills out with a sonic barrage of three-minute garage shock

THE BONESHAKERS
stand for female-fronted acoustic Rockabilly combined with classic

The acoustic-trio evolved around the unmistakable and powerful voice of
incredible frontwoman and stand up drummer Boney Shaker. She
unbelievably never sang in a band before and only learned how to drum
while playing the first street-gigs with the trio, who have been
friends long before the band started. Together with guitarist Schorni
Walker (THE SEWER RATS, THE FLICK KNIVES) and double bassist Puck

sing along to their fantastic live-shows.

busy during the pandemic and recorded their very first album "Off The
Cuff" with 12 original tunes about love, farewell, party and the
struggles of everyday live. Using only vintage recording equipment from
the 30's and 40's (recorded and mixed by Puck in the Boneshakers'

Evoking the
reverberating vocals of a Motown hit, funky grooves of a '70s
exploitation cinema soundtrack, and tight fuzz guitars of a garage punk
freakout, THE FANTASTIC FELLINIS are an ultrasonic mod/soul pop
explosion! Originating from the star-emblazoned, sleaze-worn sidewalks
of Hollywood, California, the FELLINIS' sound storms in with a blend of
vintage vibes and modern pop sensibilities.
When songwriter/musician Kenneth Wessel (KISS KISS BANG BANG, THE BEAT
KILLERS, ELECTRIC MIND MACHINE) was tasked to create a music score for
the spaghetti western feature Incident at Guilt Ridge, in the fall of
2018, he lassoed the film's leading lady, songstress/actress Vitta
Quinn (Vitta In Vaudeville, Passenger Side, A Prayer for the Damned),
to lay down vocals for the theme song. The result was melodic magic and
the dawn of THE FANTASTIC FELLINIS. Wessel and Quinn began to craft a
powerhouse set of unique original tunes and a few soaring covers of
well-loved songs by the likes of BOB DYLAN ("It's All Over Now, Baby
Blue"), THE FLIRTATIONS ("Nothing But A Heartache") and the classic
"I'm Alive" (famously performed by DON FARDON).

MIGHTY GORDINIS, THE - SOUNDS FROM A DISTANT GALAXY
The MIGHTY GORDINIS
started out in the summer of 1998; their first two albums ("Kiss my
Wheels" and "For Bosomaniacs Only") were a mix of punky hot rods songs
and surf instrumentals, while the third one "Fueled on Fuzz" was fully
instrumental and the last, in 2007, "The Future looks like yesterday" a
full vocal one.
After that, the four members went their own ways for a while before the
2020 MIGHTY GORDINIS-reboot with their new full instrumental album. The
band is now reduced to two members Nico (ADOLPHE SEX ET SES MACHINES)
on drums and Hammond and Eric St John (VICE BARONS, THE RATBOYS, THEE
MARTIAN BOYFRIENDS, THE EVIL FUZZHEADS) on Fender Jaguar and bass.
The title of the album "Sounds From A Distant Galaxy" reflects their
new musical expansion of influences, exploring some grounds they never
dared to go to before: they incorporated some kraut rock elements
(,Five Miles South of Mumbai"), some dub sounds (,Grabuge A Khartoum"),
some spy movie soundtracks (,There Is No Such Thing As A Former KGB
Man") and even some cool groovy influences à la acid jazz, be it
Corduroy or Mother Earth (,Gun Powder On Your Collar") - anything to
keep them away from the traditional surf sound. That being said, they
did include a couple of classic surf tracks like "Jaguar Hunters And
Headshrinkers" or the cover of ,Shockwave" (original by ZORBA & THE
GREEKS). So this album, limited to 300 copies of coloured vinyl only,
displays a very large palette of sounds made for the never ending
listening pleasure of the broad minded groovy people.

PARTNERS IN CRIME, THE - CHAIN BREAKERS
THE PARTNERS IN
CRIME and TOPSY-TURVY RECORDS are happy to present "Chain Breakers",
the second album by the Sicilian / Florentine band active since 2015.
This album follows the highly acclaimed debut album "Hoodoo Souls"and
the "Locked up" digital EP (GOOMPA REC).
This is a record that digs deep with a dark but never pessimistic sound
and a hint of irony. It is a handbook of American Roots Music so loved
by the band, which is treated with great respect for tradition but at
the same time the need for THE PARTNERS IN CRIME to contaminate it with
new ideas is evident. It is at this point that the Blues, Rockabilly,
Garage and the characteristic "Hoodoo Sound" of the band spontaneously
mix in a cocktail with strong flavours. The album consists of 12 songs,
8 of which are original and 4 re-adaptations. The album opens with "One
Way Ticket", a song that immediately clarifies the tone and intentions
of the band; a garage / rock'n'roll bomb that explodes on first impact.
It continues with "Cold Wind Blows", seasoned with an atmosphere and
sound sons of the great JOHNNY CASH and MIKE NESS. The album rises in
intensity with "I Wanna See You Naked" and its incessant shuffle to
then land on the funny "Hey Nick" which sounds like a tribute to the
band's swing roots. You also find a fine tribute to HOWLIN' WOLF with
"Evil" and RAY CHARLES with his "Mess Around "in a version bordering on
punk. Side B of the disc opens with the suffering and profound song
"Chain", a very dark Blues with shades bordering on gospel. It
continues with a dutiful homage to JOHNNY CASH and a "syncopated"
version of his "Big River" and continues with "Needle In The Middle", a
piece that mixes country and punk. "Mother Nature Song" sung by special
guest Daniela "Uccia" Di Censi is a piece with a purely rhythm'n'blues
skeleton, but with the typical sound power of great garage. The last
two tracks bring back the atmosphere to the mid-fifties period ;and
this is how the vocal harmonies of "Cheating Little Baby" and the
ballad "Be Mine" close the circle.
"Chain Breakers" is an absolutely explosive and infectious mix of
Rock'n'Roll/Rockabilly, Garage, Punk, Country and Blues to go wild to!

debut LP «Six-String Holiday», the talented Norwegian quartet went to

RAZERBILLS, THE - OMNISCIENT OMNIPOTENT OMNIPRESENT
Formed in the Aire
Valley area of West Yorkshire, UK, around 2017 - THE RAZERBILLS were
inspired by early to mid 60's instrumental music, fusing this with the
theatrics of horror. Artists like SCREAMIN' LORD SUTCH, JOHNNY &
THE HURRICANES and other more obscure acts helped form their sound.
THE RAZERBILLS like to paint a picture with the instrumental tracks
they deliver, so these will often be infused with sound effects and
samples from film clips - to add extra atmosphere and interest.
Their look is inspired by the Razorbill bird, a black and white auk
that nests on sea cliffs. The capes representing the wings and the
masks and fez alluding to the black plumage of the Razorbills head.
After their first EP "La Tombe" (NORMAL RECORDS), SOUNDFLAT
RECORDS-division TOPSY-TURVY RECORDS now releases their smashing debut
album "Omiscient Omnipotent Omnipresent" in coloured vinyl. Alongside
fantastic RAZERBILLS-originals it also includes cover-versions of
instrumental surf classics from the 60's such as "Get Your Baby" by
(MARK & THE ESCORTS), "Sheba" (JOHNNY & THE HURRICANES), "Ghost
Train" (THE SWANKS) or "Tarantula" and "Like - ? - Spellbound" (THE
TARANTULAS).

Formed in 2006,
although far away from the Tokyo garage scene, THE ROUTES are
undoubtedly one of the most prolific underground garage bands in Japan
of the last decade. 2021 saw THE ROUTES release three studio albums

The band project
SALAMI SUX emerged from the boredom of the lockdown phase of the
well-known little thing with 19. With a boisterous mix of punk, garage,
rock'n'roll and surf, the trio from St. Pölten, Austria makes you sit
up and take notice.
Lone fighter "Salami Recorder" gives the songs a defined style with his
incomparable singing and guitar playing. Bass man "Mots T. Sux" is
happy to leave his usual punk structures, which he has celebrated for
years in bands like SKEPTIC ELEPTIC, DEMENZIA KOLEKTIVA and THE ZSA ZSA
GABOR. Drummer boy "Thoms'n'Roll", who was also active in the bands
SKEPTIC ELEPTIC, DEMENZIA KOLEKTIVA and ANSTALT, beats songs like "Sun
is killing me" or "I Ran Away" with passion. Everything is recorded
D.I.Y., although no one has a clue. Bad? Yes! That is good and
deliberate!
Aside from being part of Ramones-Tribute-Sampler "Let's Tribute To
Ramones" (Kafadan Kontak Records, Turkey) the band recently released
the album "Demo Tape" with 13 swinging and danceable hits, digitally
and on cassette (limited to only 99 copies). Their musical debut
doesn't just prove successful, but is downright addictive, so that
SOUNDFLAT RECORDS-divison TOPSY-TURVY RECORDS now follows with the
double LP release of "Salami Sux" (vinyl-release includes two
previously unreleased bonus tracks) and "Salami Sux 'n' Roll Vol.1", as

incomparable singing and guitar playing. Bass man "Mots T. Sux" is
happy to leave his usual punk structures, which he has celebrated for
years in bands like SKEPTIC ELEPTIC, DEMENZIA KOLEKTIVA and THE ZSA ZSA
GABOR. Drummer boy "Thoms'n'Roll", who was also active in the bands
SKEPTIC ELEPTIC, DEMENZIA KOLEKTIVA and ANSTALT, beats songs like "I
Wanna Be A Girl " or "Devil In My Neck" with passion. Everything is
recorded D.I.Y., although no one has a clue. Bad? Yes! That is good and
deliberate!
The band recently released the album "Demo Tape" with 13 swinging and
danceable hits, digitally and on cassette (limited to 99 copies only).
Their musical debut doesn't just prove successful, but is downright
addictive, so that SOUNDFLAT RECORDS-divison TOPSY-TURVY RECORDS now
follows with the double LP release of "Salami Sux" and "Salami Sux 'n'
Roll Vol.1", as first edition limited to only 300 copies of colored
vinyl.
This second album by the Austrian punkrock-trio features the band's
RAMONES-tribute "I Don't Wanna Be Learned" (also part of

THE SINO HEARTS are
a fabulous 70s Punk PowerPop/Garage-band based in in Beijing, China.
After their debut album "Leave The World Behind" (MONSTER ZERO, D.O.G.,
P.R.) and their second album "Mandarin A Go-Go" (TOPSY-TURVY RECORDS),
the trio now releases their third studio album "Lightening the
Darkness" on TOPSY-TURVY RECORDS.
It follows their craze of retro power pop like their two previous
releases, yet it also continues to explore the depths of late 70s
oriented pop music and approaches musicality and instrumentality
differently from the band's previous efforts.
"Lightening the Darkness" was recorded during the lockdowns of covid
outbreak from 2020 to 2021 at Modern Sky Studio and 73 Studio (a unique
analogue studio) in Beijing, China, produced by Italian producers Bruno
Barcella and Riccardo Zamboni in Bergamo, Italy and partly edited by
Tom Zwanzger at S.T.R.E.S.S Studio in Graz, Austria.
This album marks a musical departure from previous efforts, infusing
80s Synth Pop like THE STYLE COUNCIL, THE CURE, Post Punk like BAUHAUS
and 90s Indie Pop as the MUFFS, WEEZER, also expresses a personal dark
feeling about the isolation from the world; unexpected hardships and
political climate. All these influences manifest themselves in an album
full of both calmer songs like "Melting Into The Sofa" as well as
catchy indie-rock-tunes like "Goodbye Tonight" and wild pop-punk tunes
like "Teenage Superstar" that all add up to a versatile, great record!

The three-piece band
SIX is based on the music and fashion of the 60's, but continues to
perform in a genre-independent manner. In early 2000, the band formed
in Tokyo, led by vocalist Chelio. In 2004, they released their first
7-inch single, and since then they have released three albums while
energetically performing live mainly in Tokyo. In addition to the
simple and wild sound that only a three-piece can produce, SIX has
original songs that are somewhat pop.
With this album "Tokyo Boogaloo" their grainy masterpieces are being
reissued on vinyl! "Whiskey Rock" is their ignition to start up a live
show, and "Breakaway" (Jackie DeShannon) is a cover song with a
Japanese sense. Koha La Smart's (Smart Soul Connection) raging harp
bursts into "Dance With Bacchus Tonight" and "Tokyo Boogaloo" the title
number, is a small ballad with a hint of Showa-era balladry. "Anemone
Flower" starts with a punk approach, and "Witch Baby" is a surf
instrumental; this album is a compilation of fantastic tunes from
beginning to end! The trio selected the songs with the set list of
their usual live performances in mind, so that you can almost feel like

Now the boys have put together yet another fabulous album full of
infectious power-pop-punk tunes!
The three musicians have all played in lots of bands before the
SUTTLES, such as OPERATION S, PERIPHERIQUE EST, PROTOKIDS, LES ARONDES,
JON AND THE VONS, LES BRAQUEURS and share a very cool and French
punk'n'roll sound.
The music is a mix of early Punk Rock and late 70s Power Pop: think
about THE NERVES, THE UNDERTONES, THE JAM, JOE JACKSON. Everybody
sings, in English, French and Spanish. The band shares a huge amount of
energy, coming directly from Punk rock and mixed with a very catchy
sense of pop melody.

THANES, THE - ROH UND LEBENDIG NICHT IN KOLN
THE THANES have been
playing their 60s style garage beat folk punk pop and odd little forays
into the realms of the psychedelic for 30+ years now. These boys from
Edinburgh have long become true garage-beat-legends who now release yet
another legendary album on SOUNDFLAT RECORDS. It had been fixed up for
them to play at the label's festival in Köln in December 2021 but as
fate would have it it had to be cancelled as the rate of people
catching coronavirus was on the rise once more. So, THE THANES thought,
they'd meet up anyway and make some noise and have themselves a party.
So that's what happened they gathered together - Lenny Helsing, Colin
Morris, Angus McPake and Gordon Brady - inviting half the town of
Edinburgh to join them as you'll hear down in the depths of their
Ravencraig recording lair, plugged in and had themselves some fun
playing songs they were gonna play for their international friends due
to attend the Ballroom Bash and, hey ho, the result is this raw 'n
alive studio party made in homage to those cool old live albums from
the likes of THE KINGSMEN, THE PREMIERS and the 13TH FLOOR ELEVATORS.
C'mon people crack open a cold one and wig-out on the dance floor to
the big beat sounds of THE THANES!

Tokyo Blues Breakers
are three mad dogs that have time-warped from 1969! They break the
Delta blues, 60's Garage, Motown, Punk - because they love them! Also,
they love VOX and Rickenbacker and Theremin. (But they don't break
these. Because expensive!) These guys are what you can call the
forefront of the next Japanese garage scene! Experience wild rhythms,
runaway guitars and beautiful croaky voices from beginning till
end.
The trio included a wild cover-version of MANFRED MANN's "5-4-3-2-1"
and a lo-fi pop-punky version of the hit-song/ballad "Mata Au Hi Made"
by Japanese Tom Jones KIYOHIKO OZAKI that fit in with their original
songs perfectly.
So get yourselves ready for a fantastic rocking debut by some truly
wild Japanese!!

VELVET ATTACK - VISIONS FROM INNER SPACE
VELVET ATTACK are a
60s based indie-rock-group from Dortmund, Germany formed in November
2018 to play velvet popsike melodies boosted by prog/kraut educated
guitar attacks. The five boys have been part of different musical
projects (Jelly Planet, Damo Suzuki Band, Astra Kid, The Cheeks), which
is reflected in their multi-layered, refined sound.
On the one hand side, they stick to the classic combination of jangling
Rickenbacker sounds with fine vocal harmonies as presented by groups
from the past, let's say from THE BYRDS to THE BANGLES but on the other
hand side their rock attitude is rooted with punk prototypes to
psychedelic from the sixties.
After their fabulous 7" "Human Doll" we can now experience another
full-length velvet attack listening to their brand-new debut album
"Visions From Inner Space" - and what a fantastic musical attack that
is! If it's softer pieces like the folky psychedelic "Double Cylinder
Man" and "I Cannot See A Forest Without Trees" or wilder rockin' tunes
like "Daughter of the Sun" and catchy pop-beat-tunes like "You Know

Garage-Soul band WINSTONES finally release their debut album and while
the CD version is released by Radio Underground Records, the LP version
is released by Soundflat Records sister company Topsy-Turvy Records!
Over the past decade these four boys have played in numerous
garage/punk/rock-bands (including legendary punk-rock band
Teengenerate) before they formed this new musical project moving
towards a funky, soulful New Orleans-R&B-influence, yet keeping
their punk'n'roll-wildness to their sound.
These four Japanese boys sure have a lot of soul in their veins; their
album "Sunshine City" consists of 14 cover versions of
soul/R&B-classics. "Ain't It A Sin" (Charles Bradley) gets you into
the cool groove of the record right away and you'll find yourself
moving along to the rhythm and chanting along to the classic mod hymn
"Somebody Stole My Thunder" (originally by Georgie Fame) or uptempo
