 SALT OF THE EARTH		 EARTHRIDE - WITCH GUN
Maryland Doom powerhouse Earthride formed in 1999 after the demise of Dave Sherman's previous band, Spirit Caravan. They released their self-titled EP the same year on their own Earth Brain label. They recorded their next release, 2005's Vampire Circus, with Corrosion of Conformity's Mike Dean acting as producer. It was released on Southern Lord Records. Three years later they followed with their second album, Something Wicked, which was also released by Southern Lord. In 2007 Land o Smiles Records re-released Earthride's self-titled debut EP on 10" vinyl. In 2017 Dave Sherman, Eric Little, Greg Lynn Ball and Edmund Allan Brown have resurrected the legendary doom machine and released a brand new 7" out on Salt of the Earth Records in the US and Totem Cat Records in Europe. In November 2017 EARTHRIDE hit the road with sludge legends buzzov-en for a triumphant return to the stage! More extensive touring including appearances at the New England Stoner and Doom Festival and Maryland Doom as well as a brand new full length album are what can be expected from Earthride in 2018!!

The wait for Atala's upcoming album is coming to an end. "Labyrinth of Ashmedai" will be in stores January 26th via Salt of the Earth Records. The heavy Southern California trio has garnered massive attention and momentum due to their announcements on the Salt of the Earth roster and the 2017 Roadburn Festival. The band has had the opportunity to share the stage with acts such as Pallbearer, Baroness, Chelsea Wolfe, The Obsessed, Coven, 16, Coliseum, Green Jelly and many more. This is the band's third album. Stylistically, The Obelisk says the band's new material is "among their most aggressive and lumbering works to date. On the other hand,"completely catchy, doomy desert rock" is how Pure Grain Audio describes Atala. "Labyrinth of Ashmedai" features the band's hit 'Death's Dark Tomb.' Loudwire deems that it moves the listener "from hazy, suspended riffs to undulating waves of paranoia."

CORTEZ' sophomore full length The Depths Below will be released via Salt Of the Earth Records on CD and digital formats on June 30, 2017. The band's _rst full length since the 2012 self-titled, features nine songs and clocks in at 45 minutes. Running the gamut from heavy rock to NWOBHM-in^uenced metal songs, The Depths Below is sure to surprise some longtime fans of the band with its variety. The Depths Below was recorded and mixed by Benny Grotto (Scissorfight, Orange Goblin, Worshipper) at three different studios (Q Division, Mad Oak, and Moontower Recording) and was mastered by Jeff Lipton at Peerless Mastering. Ol Time Moonshine are from Toronto, Canada. Toronto's OLDE release their critically acclaimed sophomore doom masterpiece "Temple" on CD Digipak. The band has a strong buzz behind them and feature members of Sons of Otis. Olde can be best dened as "Efficient Doom Metal"; creating atmospheric and riff-centric music without wasting time. Olde's "Temple" showcases their most refined music to date; there is not another doom band that understands how to write great riffs, without them overstaying their welcome. Olde runs the gamut of everything the genre offers; from Kyuss-y blues, to darker and more punishing bands like Yob. Olde's "Temple" is doom metal done the way it should be. It is well-crafted, forward-thinking, and a contender for one of the best records of the year.

In 2015, a crew of veteran musicians in Kingston, New York shared a passion to create powerfully original music.
