Fort Not are proud to announce their second LP The Club Is Open. Despite they sometimes flesh-out their sound a bit, the DIY charm is there on every track. Fort Not is a Gothenburg based band, emerged out of the fumes of gin and tonic during a west coast summer night. HOLY TUNICS - BUTTER DISH
Holy Tunics is a Brooklyn, NY rock n' roll / power pop band started in late 2014, currently featuring drummer Brian Alvarez, bassist/vocalist Matt Billington, guitarist Bryan Thornton, and lead vocalist/guitarist Nick Rogers. Their debut EP Hot to Trot was released Dec. 2016 (GP Stripes). The Big Takeover wrote: "Although several tunes date to 2015's rougher-recorded Notes From Captivity Pt. 2, Holy Tunics have streamlined them with energetic, smoother yet punchy production and playing that reinforces their hooky guitarpop heroics." In 2017 Holy Tunics split a single with Hamish Kilgour (Mad Scene, The Clean) via GP Stripes, opened for Teenage Fanclub and Gin Blossoms locally and recorded their first full length album, that was released in April 20th, 2018, via Spain's Meritorio Records. HOLY TUNICS - HIT PARADE LEMONADE SUPERSONIC SPREE
Brooklyn indie pop group Holy Tunics return with a brand new album. This new record is inspired by albums like R.E.M.'s Monster, a dive into more rock than jangle and a love letter to 90's alternative radio that spawned our love of the genre. MAUREENS, THE - SOMETHING IN THE AIR
The Maureens debuted in 2013 with a self-titled album that contained a distinct mixture of sixties nostalgia and nineties era indiepop. Sounds from The Beach Boys, The Posies and Big Star were fused together in catchy, energetic and uplifting pop songs. In the spring of 2015 the Maureens recorded their second album called 'Bang the Drum' and released it in September of the same year. The songs on this album proved to be more personal, powerful and upfront, with the spirit of bands like Johan, Teenage Fanclub and Jayhawks added to the already rich mixture that defines The Maureens. Again this album was received well, with many great reviews and some high rankings on 'Favourite album for 2015' lists. Currently operating as a four-piece band, The Maureens are busy as always, writing and performing their exciting and melodic alternative pop songs and their third album 'Something in the Air' released by Meritorio Records. ROVES, THE - ALL THOSE FREAKS
Chief songwriter James Wing along with his little brother Tom and a hard grafted rhythm section of Luke Evans and Brendan Monahan are releasing their second album "All Those Freaks" on Meritorio Records (April 12th). Their story is somewhat murky and complicated as how this 4 piece came together, their studio personnel are always interchanging but one thing that remains constant is the 4 gentlemen that grace a local stage every fortnight or so in the city in which they were born (North London). Naturally the shared DNA plays a big part in the identity in the group. The Wing brothers fell for rock and roll music at a very young age but its the family and childhood memories that influences the material more than ever. A hark back to the days of innocence.
