EARTHLINGS? - UNTITLED
The earthlings? have returned from deep space with a new scifi-stoner rock infused limited edition 7-inch. The aptly titled Untitled contains two unreleased tracks, the lumbering juggernaut "The Clapper" and the slightly more light-hearted "Off My Nut". For this interplanetary escapade, the earthlings? are co-piloted by David Catching (Mojave Lords) and Pete Stahl (Goatsnake, Scream) above the star-filled sky over Rancho De La Luna in Joshua Tree, California. Also present during blast-off are drummer Adam Maples, the multi-talented Matthias Schneeberger, and bassist Molly McGuire. T.S.O.L. - WONDERFUL WORLD
Last Hurrah Records is proud to announce the upcoming release of T.S.O.L.'s new 7-inch "Wonderful World?", a limited edition of 500 records available in two color configurations of 250 units each: a multi-colored 'blue earth' version for retailers and a translucent 'purple sky' version for D2C. The 7-inch contains the politically-charged parody "Wonderful World?" - an eloquently orchestrated track with string background, sporting a special lyrical adaption of the original song "What a Wonderful World", made famous by Louis Armstrong in 1967. While the B-side contains the brand new song "Swimming" featuring the band at their blistering hardcore best. Formed in 1979 and hailing from Long Beach, California, T.S.O.L. (True Sounds of Liberty) are Southern California's original hardcore punk anti-heroes. The band's 1981 full-length Dance with Me is hailed as a seminal performance of angry, pre-goth hardcore. T.S.O.L.'s current lineup consists of three original members Jack Grisham (vocals), Ron Emory (guitar), and Mike Roche (bass), along with drummer Antonio Hernandez and keyboardist Greg Kuehn (who's been involved with the band since the early '80s). The Vomit Spots formed in 1985 from a group of friends who all worked for the college radio station WTOH in Mobile, Alabama. The punk band gained a reputation with their gritty, aggressive style and catchy, raunchy lyrics. The Vomit Spots toured into the mid '90s, from Alabama to California and back, supporting such alt heavy weights as The Descendants, L7, and Helmet. Dude, I Didn't Know! is the Vomit Spots' first 12-inch full-length album. Ten tracks included on this record are released here for the first time and were recorded in 1988, while four tracks were taken from the I Want to Bowl cassette and were recorded in 1989. Desert legend Sean Wheeler is an American musician and pioneer in the Palm Springs underground music scene.
