First pressing of 300 copies - yellow vinyl, includes DL code. Engines has members of Holy Roman Empire and a slew of other bands (Towers, Elder (PA), Stillwell, Pink Eyes, Ribbonhead, etc). ENGINES is a five piece noisy indie/punk rock band from Chicago. Originally conceived as a solo project for Philadelphia-based songwriter Craig Woods (TOWERS, ELDER, PETER AND CRAIG, TWO PIECE FEST) under the moniker HOT BAGELS, Woods moved to Chicago in 2014 and soon recruited fellow east coast transplants Lee Zickwolf (RIBBONHEAD, COSTANZA) and Jeff Twietmeyer (ALMOST ARGYLE, STAY THE COURSE) and Chicago native Justin Wexler (STILLWELL, FORGE AGAIN RECORDS) as permanent fixtures of the band. After two years of performing and writing as a four piece, they decided to add a full-time vocalist to the mix. Emily Jancetic (HOLY ROMAN EMPIRE, LONGDISTANCERUNNER), once lovingly described as the "the Kelly Clarkson of post-hardcore" by All Music Guide, joined in 2016. And thus ENGINES was born. Every Cell, the sophomore EP from ENGINES, was recorded and mixed in the summer of 2018 by Andy Nelson (WEEKEND NACHOS, HARMS WAY) at Bricktop Recordings and mastered by Carl Saff at Saff Mastering.

DAKOTA/DAKOTA is an instrumental band that had a short, but notable run in the Chicago music scene from 2002-2005. Their songs, though instrumental, do present themselves as narratives. Linear in form, these arrangements aren't simple repetitions of the same idea. DAKOTA/DAKOTA progresses through themes with their writing. All without actual lyrics, there is evident wit, sarcasm, and honesty. At one moment they can sound incredibly bright and melodic and then somehow seamlessly take that to some place dark and dissonant. Their performances often highlight this transition and while they do display the technicality of their musicianship, they are also incredibly energetic. Two members of DAKOTA/DAKOTA (Mike Sullivan and Colin Dekuiper) went on to form instrumental icons RUSSIAN CIRCLES, expanding upon what they started with D/D. Fifteen years later, Mike still tours the planet with RUSSIAN CIRCLES, Colin performs with RLYR (The Flenser/Magic Bullet Records) and BLOODIEST (Relapse) and drummer Jim Myers continues to play with his project JOB. This discography LP captures DAKOTA/DAKOTA's complete recorded musical output - their full length Shoot in the Dark, the Hamburger Help Us single, a split 7" with RIDDLE OF STEEL, an unreleased demo, and one compilation track - on a single LP. Nearly two decades after its original release, THE GOODBOY SUIT's Within Walls Without Windows is being reissued on vinyl and digitally by Forge Again Records and Dipterid Records. In less than two years, this emocore quartet mastered blending angular post-rock with early-to-mid 90's emotional hardcore, creating fiercely candid songs fueled with anger, angst, and sorrow. With unexpected rhythmic turns, accompanied with odd numbers of repeated riffs, often with cleaner melodic lines over the top, these four musicians brought Midwest rockers a more "intellectual" form of post-hardcore. Imagine early AT THE DRIVE-IN if they grew up with Wisconsin winters, met with HOOVER and FRODUS, and you might have an idea of what was happening in Milwaukee in the early 2000s. All seven songs were recorded in the basement of a real estate office in the Ukranian Village neighborhood of Chicago by Mike Lust (RUSSIAN CIRCLES, SWEEP THE LEG JOHNNY, WILLIAM ELLIOT WHITMORE). Five of the songs appeared on the original CD version of Within Walls Without Windows, while the cover of JAWBREAKER's "Bivouac" appeared on a tribute compilation, both released by Copter Crash Records, run by the late Mike Villani (TRANSISTOR TRANSISTOR, THE SADDEST LANDSCAPE) in 2002. The final song, "Another Piranha in the Tank" was never released until now. On the eve of their 2002 summer tour, THE GOODBOY SUIT disbanded. Members of the band went on to play in TEMPER TEMPER, SINCE BY MAN, DECIBULLY, and DRAMATIC LOVERS. "...a a driving, intricate, and dark record." - punknews.org 		LP

OLD GODS was formed in February of 2011 by then The DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN guitarist Jeff Tuttle (vocals) and his former HEADS WILL ROLL bandmate Derek Swanson (bass), guitarist Randall Kupfer, and drummer Tony Wolski. Shortly thereafter, they garnered a solid reputation amongst Detroit's underground scene as a band that was both unapologetic and miles away from the homogenized herd of other so-called hardcore bands. Their new full-length, Stylized Violence sees a much more mature and confident OLD GODS continuing down the path they embarked upon with the 2011 release, but with a fury and fire all its own. Like Its predecessor, Stylized Violence is steeped in film tradition: most notably, the horror genre. With vivid and provoking titles like "Slaughtered Vomit Doll", "Burlesque Suicide" and "Altered States" it's clear that Tuttle has done his homework. But, what's more is that his lyrical content is more than just homage. The stark imagery often culled from these films works more like catalysts: propelling his deeper metaphoric meanings and fueling his clever wordplay. Retail exclusive color is "natural" clear vinyl. TRIPLE FAST ACTION formed in January 1993, played their first show at Chicago's Cubby Bear and, in 1998, played their final show at Chicago's Metro. The band quickly earned a great deal of notoriety among Windy City tastemakers for their extraordinary musicianship and graceful yet raw performances and was one of many Chicago area acts signed to Capitol Records during the multi-year label frenzy that also snatched up bands like the SMASHING PUMPKINS, SMOKING POPES, VERUCA SALT, HUM, and MENTHOL, among others. Originally released on CD by Deep Elm Records in 1997, Cattlemen Don't is now available on vinyl for the first time courtesy of Chicago's Forge Again Records as a colored vinyl gatefold 2xLP including nine bonus tracks, many of which, until now, have never been heard.
