| The Evens are a band from Washington, D.C. IAN MACKAYE plays baritone guitar and AMY FARINA plays drums. They both sing. Their self-titled debut album was recorded at Inner Ear Studios in the summer of 2004 and released in March 2005. Get Evens, the band's second full-length, was entirely self-recorded in the basement of the Dischord House in the summer of 2006. The Evens have toured in the U.S., Europe, Brazil, Chile, Argentina, New Zealand, Australia, and Eastern Canada. In 2008 The Evens took a break as Ian and Amy took time to tend to family matters and a new arrival. In 2011 the band once again began rehearsing regularly and in August entered Inner Ear Studios with DON ZIENTARA to record two tracks that will be released on a single in November 2011. The band plans to record a full-length in 2012 and will begin playing regular dates as well. |
