Considered the last Throbbing Gristle collaboration after Genesis pulled out, the band's final new music release on their own Industrial Records Label. It's two albums in one, first side is Chris, Cosey, and Sleazy doing a reimagined version of Nico's 1970 Desertshore album with a multitude of famous guest vocalists: Marc Almond, Sasha Grey, Gaspar Noe, Antony Hegarty, Blixa Bargeld, Cosey Fan Tutti, and more guests. Sleazy died in his sleep, Nov.25, 2010, in Thailand before it could be finished. Chris & Cosey ultimately committed to finish the project. The 2nd disc (The Final Report), comes after 36 years together, with the trio of Chris & Cosey, and Sleazy producing their very last material together in 2009/2010 at Chris & Cosey's studio in Norfolk. The album stands as the final report: a celebtraion, a loving remembrance of their unique partnership. CD edition comes with a 12 page booklet, a postcard, and one bonus track. |
